11 candidates registered in the elections, of which four are the favorites . This is the representative of the “forward” political movement Emmanuel Macron, former French Prime Minister Francois Fillon, candidate from the National Front party Marine Le Pen and the “Unfixed France” by Jean-Luke Melanshon.
Other applicants are the chairman of the Party “Get up, France” Nicolas Dupon-Anyan, leader of the “Workers' Wrestling” party Natalie Arto, representative of the new anti-capitalist party, Philip Put, the head of the party “Resist!” Jean Lassal, chairman of the People's Republican Union Francois Askelino, head of the Solidarity and Progress Party Jacques Sheminada, representative of the socialist party Benois Amon.
According to polls on April 20–21, which leads the AFP, 23%of voters are ready to vote for Macron and Le Pen, 19.5%for melanchon, 19%for Fiion. The agency indicates that the current elections of the President of France are the most unpredictable over the past decades.
As expected, about 47 million people will take part in the elections. For voting, approximately 67 thousand sites are open.
The second round of elections will be held on May 7. Two candidates will participate in it who scored maximum votes in the previous round.
