
The chairman of the National Front party Marine Le Pen is leading in the first round of the presidential election of France. This was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of France.
After calculating half the votes, Le Pen gained 24.1%.

Emmanuel Macron, a candidate from the forward movement, has 22.44%, Francois Fiion had 19.57%.
Earlier it was reported that Macron is the leader in the first round. He scored 23.7% of the vote, in second place was Le Pen with a result of 21.7%.
The presidential candidate, former prime minister of the country Francois Fiion, as well as the mayor of Paris Ann Idalgo, announced their support to Macron.
In total, 11 candidates were registered in the elections. This is the chairman of the “Get up, France” by Nicolas Dupon-Anyan, the leader of the “Workers' Wrestling” party Natalie Arto, the representative of the new anti-capitalist party, Philip Put, the head of the party “resist!” Jean Lassal, chairman of the People's Republican Union Francois Askelino, head of the Solidarity and Progress Party Jacques Sheminada, representative of the socialist party Benois Amon.
