
The US dollar on the Moscow Exchange fell on more than 60 cents compared to the closing level of the previous session. As of 12:35 Moscow time, the exchange rate of the American currency was 55.82 rubles.
This is the minimum value for the whole time since July 2015.
At the same time, the euro on the Moscow Exchange on Monday was getting up. As of 12:30 Moscow time, its course was 60.72 rubles, which is 15 kopecks higher than the level that ended the previous auction.
On February 17, the head of the Ministry of Economic Development Maxim Oreshkin stated that the trend towards strengthening the ruble is seasonal and will soon be replaced by a weakening of the Russian currency. On Friday, April 21, he announced the fall of the ruble in the II-III quarters of this year.
