The US imposed sanctions against Syria for the chemical attack

The US Treasury Department has imposed sanctions on 271 employees of a research center in Syria, reports . Reuters

Washington said that the employees of the center were developing chemical weapons that were used in the province of Idlib.

Earlier, the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons said that sarin or a similar banned poison was used during the chemical attack in Khan Sheikhoun.

In turn, the Russian Ministry of Defense considered the conclusions of the OKhZO to be hasty.

Recall that the international community accuses the Syrian authorities of using chemical weapons against the civilian population of the country. More than 90 people were killed in the bombing in the city. The victims showed signs of chemical poisoning.
