Universal to make Madonna biopic

Universal Pictures is making a biopic about Madonna called Blond Ambition. This is reported by The Hollywood Reporter.

The script of the picture topped The Black List of 2016 - a list of the best unrealized scripts in Hollywood. It was written by Elise Hollander, who previously worked as an assistant to Alejandro González Iñárritu on the set of Birdman .

The project will be produced by Michael De Luca ( The Social Network ), Brett Ratner ( The Revenant ) and John Zeiosirni.

The action of the tape will unfold in the early 1980s in New York, when Madonna Louise Ciccone was working on her first studio album and was trying to gain a foothold in show business.
