A defender was not allowed into Ivan Nepomnyashchikh’s colony

The colony administration refused to allow public defender Sergei Sharov-Delone to visit Ivan Nepomnyashchikh, convicted in the Bolotnaya case, who is serving his sentence in IK-1 in the Yaroslavl region. Radio Liberty writes about this with reference to the defender. Correctional officers did not give any explanation as to the reasons for denying admission.

On April 24, it became known that Ivan Nepomnyashchikh was beaten in the colony detention center. This was reported by the defender of the convicted person with reference to the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Yaroslavl Region, Sergei Baburkin. Nepomniachtchi is currently in a punishment cell.

Earlier it became known that Nepomnyashchikh was placed in a punishment cell in the colony for 7 days. The next day, a search took place in the camp, during which the “masks” beat people in the detention center. Immediately after this, Nepomniachtchi and several other prisoners were transferred to a specially isolated part of the punishment cell - the “island”
