In the Bosphorus Strait off the coast of Turkey, the reconnaissance ship of the Russian Navy "Liman" collided with the ASHOT-7 cargo ship, which followed the flag of Tom. It is reported by Hürriyet Daily News.

Tugging and rescue boats went to the crash site. The Turkish coastal guard officially stated the salvation of all 78 members of the Liman crew.

Earlier it was reported that 15 Russian sailors were missing. However, then the Russian Ministry of Defense confirmed that all crew members were saved. At the same time, the military department noticed that 78 people are the total number of ships evacuated from both encountered. The staff of the Liman crew is 85 people.

"Liman" was built in Polish Gdansk as a hydrographic ship; It was launched in 1970. Initially belonged to the Northern Fleet, since 1974 it was assigned to the Black Sea. In 1989, he was converted into a reconnaissance ship. "Liman" participated in the oceanographic campaigns in the Indian and Atlantic oceans, in distant campaigns in the Mediterranean Sea. In 1999, in Adriatic, he conducted reconnaissance in the immediate vicinity of the NATO military operation zone against Yugoslavia.
