Press Secretary of Russian President Vladimir Putin Dmitry Peskov commented on information about the alleged date of Putin’s meeting with his American colleague Donald Trump in May. It is reported by TASS with reference to Dmitry Peskov.
There are no specific developments on the organization of the meeting of the presidents of Russia and the USA yet, Peskov noted.
Earlier, Kommersant, citing sources in the government agencies of Russia and the United States, reported that Putin and Trump could meet at the end of May until the Great Twenth summit, which will be held in July in Hamburg.
Peskov in an interview with CNN expressed the opinion that Trump agrees with the need to start a dialogue with Russia.
Putin and Trump were repeatedly contacted by telephone, including after the attack in the St. Petersburg metro on April 3, when the US president expressed his condolences to the Russian colleague, but they personally did not meet.
