Deputy Prosecutor General Viktor Grin approved the indictment in the case of actor Yuri Kulia, arrested on charges of attacking riot police during the anti -corruption campaign on March 26 on Tverskaya. This was reported by the Moscow Agency.
On the court’s website, information on the appointment of hearings as of 14:30 Moscow time is absent . There is only information about three times deferred proceedings on the actor’s administrative case, also excited for participating in the action on Tverskaya. Now the hearings were postponed to May 23.
The 28-year-old Kulia, as well as to other "prisoners on March 26", was charged with part 1 of Article 318 of the Criminal Code (the use of non-hazardous violence to a representative of the authorities), which provides for up to five years of the colony. According to the plot of the case, on March 26 the actor grabbed a certain riot police by the hand, which, according to the “victim,” “caused him pain.”
On April 4, Kuli was detained after the search and arrested two days later. Politsyk was sent to the Moscow SIZO-5 Vodnik.
The defender, by appointment, before the court, convinced the actor to completely admit the guilt. Since April 12, the interests of Kulia are represented by an independent lawyer Alexei Lipzer. As the lawyer reported, in addition to the testimony of Politzek and the “victim”, the accusation is based on the screenshots of the video, which in fact do not confirm anything.
Kulius himself told Lipzer that when the detentions began, he tried to prevent the riot police from grabbing an elderly demonstrator - he laid the security forces, who was in the body armor, his hand on his shoulder. Politzek also noted that he regrets data from previously recognition.
Familiarization with the materials of the Kuly and Lipzer case was completed last week .
