Human rights activists complained to the forensic expert, who counted the policeman six fingers on one hand

The torture prevention committee asked the SK to check the forensic medical expert, who, in his conclusion in the criminal case of an attack on the policeman, wrote that the victim received the cut wound of the “fifth inter-backing gap” on his hand-that is, an anatomical zone between the fifth and sixth fingers.

The criminal case was instituted against a resident of the village of Druzhny Nizhny Novgorod region Andrei Palace. On August 9, 2016, he was detained, and then fined for the appearance in a public place in a drunk form and disobedience to the police officer.

Palace admits that he drank with friends shortly before the police approached them on the street. He tried to escape, but the police caught up with him, put on handcuffs and beat him. The palaces work in a plumber, in the sleeve of his overalls there was a knife, which, as he claims, needs him to work. When detained, one of the police officers cut his hand against this knife.

After the Palace was released from the police, he recorded the injuries he received: a concussion, bruises on his face, stomach, back, arms and legs. He spent eight days in the hospital.

Palaces asked four times to initiate a criminal case against police officers, but each time he received a refusal.

• “In his conclusion, the forensic expert not only indicated the presence of a police officer with a cutting wound of the“ fifth intercatal gap ” - a non -existent anatomical zone - but was also able to establish the severity of harm to the health of a police officer without studying the relevant documentation. The results of later examinations also question the objectivity and good faith of the expert, ”says Evgeny Chilikov, a lawyer of the torture committee, representing Andrei Palace.
