
The European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) ordered Russia to conduct a medical examination of one of the convicts in the “swamp case” by Ivan Nepomnyans and two other Yaroslavl IK-1s Yevgeny Makarov and Ruslan Vakhapov and provide the ECHR with the results of this examination. This was reported by the human rights fund "Public Verdict" on the organization page on Facebook .
According to him, the complaint "Vakhapov and others against Russia" is assigned the status of a priority consideration. "Within 48 hours (from April 27), Vakhapov, Makarov and Nepomnya are obliged to be immediately examined by doctors independent of the FSIN of the Russian Federation," it was reported.
According to human rights activists, the ECHR ordered an examination in the presence of the defenders of the prisoners. Also, Russia was obliged to provide evidence that prisoners have unhindered access to their defenders, and information about the results of consideration of complaints about beating and torture.
In addition, the court demanded that the authorities provide defenders with the opportunity to use photo and video equipment when visiting prisoners. Russia must report on the "accepted urgent measures" until May 4.
