The Russian economy has returned to stagnation. This was reported by experts of the "Center for Development" by the Higher School of Economics, reports RNS.
“At the beginning of 2017, the growth of the Russian economy again stalled again. Of course, for now, taking into account the frequent change in the data of Rosstat, this cannot be asserted categorically, ”said the Bulletin“ Comments about the state and business ”.
The consequences of the recession of 2015-2016 have not yet been overcome and has not yet been created a model of sustainable long -term growth, analysts note. Negatively, the strengthening of the ruble course affects economic growth.
In the last report, HSE economists criticized the “optimism” of officials regarding the growth of the economy. This leads to the fact that measures are being taken to maintain economic growth, while she needs an “impulse to revival”, they said. At the same time, experts admitted that the growth of the Russian economy "looks most likely."
On April 21, the head of the Ministry of Economic Development Maxim Oreshkin reported on the growth of GDP in the first quarter of 2017 by 0.4%. The Russian economy, thus, is growing the second quarter in a row, says Oreshkin. At the beginning of the month, Oreshkin announced the beginning of the new phase of growth of the Russian economy. The head of the Central Bank Elvira Nabiullina in March also reported the transition of the economy to growth.
