Even on the warm-up circle, Fernando Alonso, on McLarena, came down due to technical problems, and on the very first circle Jolion Palmer on Renault cut Romain Grozhan on the Haas, as a result of which both completed the race.
In a leading group, Bottas was best a success. Finn made his way to the first place, ahead of the owner of Powul Vettel. The German Ferrari German partner retained the third place, repeling the attack of the leader of the Silver arrows Lewis Hamilton.
The struggle for the victory was aggravated only in the last circles, when Vettel's lag was seriously reduced and allowed the use of acceleration using the DRS system. But Bottas retained first place and won his first victory in his career.
The Russian pilot "Toro Rosso" Daniil Kvyt held a race in the middle of the Peleton. He went around Kevin Magnussen on Haas due to a 5-second penalty of the Danish at the Pit Stop, however, he missed Lena Stroll forward to Williams due to the interference after the tire change. As a result, the Kvyat finished the 12th.
