In a telephone conversation, the heads of the two states also discussed the situation on the Korean peninsula, the fight against terrorism in Syria, and also agreed to continue contacts by phone.

Recall that the first phone call occurred after the inauguration of the President of the United States, Putin congratulated Trump on this event. The second call took place at the initiative of the American side after the terrorist attack in the metro of St. Petersburg.
