The trial of Dinar Idrisov is taking place in his absence

Consideration of the administrative case brought against human rights activist Dinar Idrisov after he was detained on the evening of April 29 in police department No. 22 continues on May 2 at the Krasnogvardeisky District Court of St. Petersburg without him. Idrisov told OVD-Info about this.

The case of Idrisov, for whom a protocol was drawn up on disobedience to the lawful demands of police officers, was considered on the evening of April 30 and on the night of May 1, after which, at the request of the defender Ksenia Mikhailova, it was postponed to May 2 . However, Idrisov that day was supposed to act as a witness in a case in the Leningrad region related to the scandal surrounding the elections in the village named after Morozov. In this regard, Mikhailov's lawyer on May 2 brought petitions from herself and Idrisov to the Krasnogvardeisky Court to postpone the meeting. Mikhailova herself participates in another process that day. The motions referred to the need to collect evidence and witnesses.

However, the Krasnogvardeisky Court rejected these petitions and began to hold a meeting in the absence of both Idrisov and Mikhailova. At present, as it became known to Idrisov from eyewitnesses, the court is interrogating witnesses - police officers.

Idrisov believes that the court is going to make a decision on his arrest, after which they will start looking for him. All this, according to the human rights activist, is a violation of the law: cases under articles involving arrest cannot be considered at all in the absence of the alleged offender.

Idrisov's case The court initially returned to the police: the main reason was that Idrisov was a member of the territorial election commission, and he could not even be detained without the prosecutor's sanction. After the case was returned, the police officers received the sanction of the prosecutor of St. Petersburg to arrest Idrisov. At the same time, according to Idrisov, the document was drawn up in violation of the law on the prosecutor's office, because it does not contain a motivation - an explanation why this arrest is possible (the prosecutor must assess whether the arrest of a member of the TEC will damage public interests).

Idrisov was rudely detained on the evening of April 29 in department No. 22, where he arrived to represent the interests of the detainees. They threw him to the floor and handcuffed him. During a court hearing on the night of May 1, the head of the police department, Nikita Kamenshchikov, claimed that Idrisov had broken into his office for a working meeting and could have taken documents on his phone. At the same time, Kamenshchikov allegedly did not see the detention itself and did not comment on it in any way. According to him, he ordered that two employees "receive" Idrisov. When asked by a human rights activist what “accept” means, Kamenshchikov replied: “Take, meet, hug, kiss - who understands how.”
