In the Chelyabinsk region, a protesting truck driver Nikolai Matveev was charged with a protocol under Part 2 of Art. 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (organization of an unapproved public event). Matveev told OVD-Info about this by phone.

On March 27, an all-Russian strike of truckers and carriers began against the Platon system. In the Chelyabinsk region, a protest stop of truckers has been set up near the Europe-Asia stele, a pedestal that points to the symbolic border between Europe and Asia.

According to Matveev, he went to the police station voluntarily by agreement with his own brother, who works in the police. However, this fact did not help the trucker in the department - there the employees drew up an administrative protocol against Matveev, considering him the organizer of a public event in the form of a truck stop.
