
The House of Representatives of the US Congress voted for the bill on the abolition of the main parts of the healthcare program adopted by the former US President Barack Obamare. It is reported by Reuters .
217 deputies of the chamber voted. Under the legislation of the United States, to pass the bill to the Senate, it is necessary to gain 216 votes. It is expected that voting in the Senate will be held in June.
Initially, the voting on the project was supposed to take place in Congress on March 24, but a few hours before the meeting, the Republicans recalled the bill. According to CNN, the initiative came from the speaker of the House of Representatives of the US Congress Paul Ryan.
US President Donald Trump, commenting on this situation, said that the current healthcare system in the country is already “already output itself”, so he would soon “show its failure”. The congress later explained that the Republicans plan to not completely cancel Obamacare.
The Obamacare cancellation project was submitted to Congress on March 6. Republicans proposed canceling the obligatory presence of medical insurance for every citizen. At the same time, the bill, like Obamacare, prohibits to recall insurance in already sick people, and Americans under 26 years old offers to insure under the policies of their parents.
