In Izhevsk, a teacher criticized a law student for supporting Navalny, he wrote a statement against her to the prosecutor’s office

A second-year law student at the Izhevsk Industrial and Economic College wrote a statement to the prosecutor’s office against a teacher for talking critically of Alexei Navalny, the young man told Mediazona about this.

According to him, initially the teacher held a meeting with the academic group and began to assure the students that they were being manipulated, urging them to participate in opposition events. A few days later she called one student.

“When I arrived, she said that I should have been called a long time ago. She started asking about my life, saying that it was completely negative. She asked various questions: for example, what did I see in Navalny, why did I follow him? - the student recalls in a comment to the newspaper "Strizh", - I did not expect that she would ask such questions. Why can’t a person just go outside, why should he remain silent? Why is it that when people are driven to rallies “For Crimea”, this is considered normal, but now, when we simply followed a different idea, not the one that United Russia likes, for example, then we are declared outlaw?”

A scan of the application to the prosecutor's office was also published by the newspaper Strizh. In it, the student refers to paragraph 3 of Article 48 of the Law “On Education,” which prohibits teachers from “using educational activities for political agitation, forcing students to accept political, religious or other beliefs or renounce them.”

Even before the start of mass opposition rallies on March 26, schoolchildren and students across the country published numerous recordings of conversations with teachers who dissuaded students from participating in the rallies. Subsequently, after the protests, the number of such conversations increased.
