
The leader of the “Forward” movement, Emmanuel Macron and the head of the National Front party, Marine Le Pen, the day before the second round of elections, the head of state turned to the nation with the final election promises. In her speech, Le Pen made it clear that she was aware of the latest results of public opinion polls predicting her defeat, but she believes that she already managed to win an ideological victory.
“We changed everything. Even if we cannot achieve our goal, in any case, a gigantic political force was born,” the leader of the National Front emphasized (quote for TASS). According to Le Pen, her party was able to "impose a revision" of French politics and set the tone of the entire presidential race.
In the event that she still succeeds in winning, Le Pen promised to unite the broken country and "return democracy to the place." “We must restore connections between people,” she said, expressing confidence that Macron would only aggravate the situation.
Macron, in turn, said that he intends to conduct large -scale changes in the environmental sphere, in the field of democracy, as well as in the very system of political power of France. “Great changes will occur in the event of my coming to power in the country's parliament. In particular, I intend to quickly carry out a reform to introduce a proportional election system to the National Assembly,” the leader of the forward movement explained.
He promised that the reforms of institutes and the discussion by the parliament of new laws would be required only the first four months of his five -year period of government. He emphasized that he considers it important to appear in the political life of new persons, and therefore he intends to achieve a broad government coalition on the basis of the Union of Right -Procedure and Left Forces.
He called one of his main tasks that he needs to prevent a situation when the country is divided into two France. "The election campaign itself for the presidential election has changed under the influence of the rage and hatred that people in French society are covered. The reconciliation of the inhabitants of France should be achieved, ”Macron concluded.
It should be noted that the surveys conducted two days before the vote by Harris Interactive and Odoxa indicate that Macron can gain 62% of the vote in the second round, and his rival from the National Front is only 38%. Analysts also did not exclude that the second round of the current election of the head of France could become one of the most inactive in the history of the Fifth Republic. The predicted percentage of voter appearances is only 75%, a quarter of voters intend to boycott the elections due to dissatisfaction with the remaining candidates. 21% have not yet decided on the choice.
The first tour of the presidential elections in France took place two weeks ago. 11 candidates claimed the presidency of the country, but now only two in the race for the post of head of state: Macron scored 24.01% of the vote, Le Pen - 21.3%. The second round of elections is scheduled for May 7.
