US citizen was again detained in the DPRK

The DPRK authorities detained the US citizen for "anti -state actions." It is reported by Reuters with reference to the central telegraph agency of Korea.

The detained Kim Hak Dream worked at the University of Science and Technology.

"The Authorized DPRK authorities detained the American citizen Kim Hak Sona on May 6 under the law on the suspension of hostile actions against the country," Reuters quoted the message Tsak.

Kim Hak Sleep became the fourth US citizen held in North Korea. The previous detained American of Korean origin, 60-year-old Kim San Doc, whom the DPRK authorities were deprived of freedom in April , was an employee of the same university, and before that he was a professor at the University of Science and Technology in the Chinese city of Yanji, Girin, located near the North Korean border.

No additional details about the detention circumstances of the two Americans working at the university are reported.

Since 2009, over 10 US citizens were detained in North Korea on charges of various crimes, including against the state. Their fate became the subject of bargaining with Washington.

Last March, 21-year-old Otto Wormbir, a student at the University of Virginia, was sentenced to 15 years of labor camps for taking a propaganda poster from a hotel in Pyongyan. In April 2016, the American pastor Kim Don Chol, who, like his namesake professor, arrived in the DPRK with a humanitarian mission, received a 10-year term on charges of espionage.
