The US State Department has introduced new requirements for persons requesting work visas or a long stay in the country. It is reported by Radio Liberty.

According to the new rules, applicants related to a high -risk group will have to agree to view their posts in social networks for five years from the date of submitting an application for a visa. In addition, they will have to inform the email address, phone numbers, list the places of work and residence over the previous fifteen years, and indicate the names and date of birth of the closest relatives.

At the same time, those who wish to receive a visa will not require passwords from accounts in social networks. In February, the US Minister of Internal Security John Kelly proposed to introduce such a measure for in February.

According to the State Department, about 65 thousand people per year will affect new restrictions - this is half a percent from everyone who wants to get an American visa. Among them may be those who visited countries where well -known terrorist groups operate.
