In Moscow, on the anniversary of the Victory in the German-Soviet war, the procession of the "Immortal Regiment" took place. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, 850 thousand people took part in the demonstration and this is a record number for all the years of the action. Among the portraits carried by the demonstrators were photographs of pro -Russian terrorists killed in the east of Ukraine.
The column passed along Leningradsky Prospekt, 1st Tverskaya-Yamskoye and Tverskaya streets to the Kremlin. There, Vladimir Putin joined her.
Earlier on Tuesday, a military parade was held on Red Square. According to RBC, the only foreign leader who arrived at the parade in Moscow was the President of Moldova Igor Dodon.
Last year, only one head of a foreign state, President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, also arrived in Moscow for the anniversary of the victory over Germany.
