The court arrested a resident of Blagoveshchensk who shot at security forces from a car

In Blagoveshchensk, the court arrested a man who fired at police officers in the area of ​​the railway station, reports the portal 2Х2.Su.

According to Amur.Info, the incident occurred in the area of ​​the Blagoveshchensk railway station. The police received a report that shots were being heard near Station Street. External squads of the police patrol service, traffic police, and the National Guard department for the Amur region were sent to the site.

Traffic police officers who arrived at the scene blocked the passage of the offender’s car, after which he shot at the side window of the car and wounded the inspector. To stop the man, the police fired back and also wounded him. The wounded were hospitalized.

At the time of the arrest, the shooter was in the hospital. The investigation believes that if he is free, he can hide from the police or influence the testimony of witnesses or victims.

According to the Investigative Committee, after the shooting a criminal case was opened under Article 317 of the Criminal Code (attack on the life of a law enforcement officer). The man could face imprisonment for up to 20 years.
