Dmitry Boynov: “They are trying to make me out to be a hooligan”

I have historical roots with this area from my grandparents. They lived in the Ivanovo barracks. My parents were born there. I was born next to Dubki Park, on Marina Raskova Street. Then the parents were given an apartment in Otradnoye, but relatives remained in this area. I spent even more time here than in Otradnoye.

Then I returned to this area to live. During the Great Patriotic War, my grandfather volunteered and went missing, and in the park there is a monument to fallen soldiers - one might say, to him too. My children were born here, they took their first steps in this park. It turns out that your whole life is connected with the park.

I learned about the initiation of a criminal case against me by accident. A person who was called as a witness told me about this. None of the police called me or told me about this. I received the second confirmation that a case had been opened against me later, when I wrote another statement to the police. The investigator saw me and said: “A case has been opened against you, when necessary, I will call you.” She did not give me any written confirmation. The first time they interrogated me was at the end of August.

They are trying to make me out to be a hooligan, although it is obvious that I did not come specifically on May 12 to be a hooligan, but I was there every day - and I was not the only one. We prevented the violation of the law. We called the police, asked them to draw up reports, wrote complaints - we acted by all available legal methods. We tried to defend the law, which was blatantly violated.

We met with municipal deputies, they told us what documents were needed. We collected more than eight thousand living signatures... That is, we came to make hooliganism, and before that we collected signatures, submitted applications for an appointment with the mayor and his deputy, took letters to the president... There can be no talk of hooliganism.

I could process work orders at home, so I could actively participate in protecting the park. Naturally, I lost a lot of orders and lost some work. The first time I appeared in defense of Dubki Park was in March 2016, on the ninth. Since then, he was there continuously, only when I was taken to the hospital in an ambulance. In April, private security officers pinched my leg with a car; another time, police officers tried to push me into a car, hit my leg and broke it. I spent 10 days in the Botkin hospital. I don't remember exactly the numbers. There were still clashes in April, and I was taken to the emergency room.

The private security company injured my same right leg, which was almost healing - a control X-ray was scheduled for April 16th. After that, I spent another month in an orthosis. There is one person involved in my case, Monastyrsky, a foreman. He claims that he is white and fluffy, and has never used force against anyone. It turns out that he took me by the arm and tried to almost save my life by moving me away from moving traffic. Although everyone knows perfectly well that, according to traffic rules, if there is a pedestrian in front of a vehicle, the vehicle must stop and let the pedestrian pass. Why was the vehicle moving? Before moving, he had to make sure the road was clear.

There is a wonderful video that shows how this same Monastyrsky knocks me down with a punch, I fall and hit my head. After which an ambulance took me away, and I spent five days, again, in the Botkin hospital with a concussion. Monastyrsky pretends to be white and fluffy, saying that it was him who was beaten. Knowing his past - he is a paratrooper, a trained military man... And I supposedly could have injured him.

Judging by the case materials, I hit him on the arm, and the pain somehow spread to his neck - this is completely incomprehensible. The videos attached to the case show that I am standing, and I am the first to be attacked. I don’t touch anyone, I don’t shout anything, and I don’t wave my crutches, as it’s written in the case.

In the criminal case - the episode of May 12. Private security guards attacked us - me and the women. By that time, my leg had been injured for the second time - and it is unknown what else they could have done to me. I had just been in a cast for a month, I was afraid for my health and used a gas canister. It’s not that I had it in my hands, I had it tucked far into my jacket. This is reflected in the case, I didn’t just take it out and start using it, but warned that I would spray it. They didn’t stop their actions, and I took advantage. My actions are not considered self-defense, although the examination showed that my actions could not have caused lasting damage to my health.

We tried to prevent the delivery of materials to the construction site. We knew that they had no documents. On what basis was concrete delivered there when concrete work was prohibited? The private security company - and this is reflected in the case - tried to make a breakthrough before the police arrived. If all your documents are in order, why didn’t you wait for the police to show them the documents?
