
Deputy Prosecutor General Viktor Grin approved the indictment in the criminal case against the "Prisoner of March 26" Alexander Shpakov, the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office reports . The case was sent to the Tver District Court of Moscow for consideration on the merits.
"According to investigators, Shpakov, interfering with the legitimate activities of the police in the protection of public order, applied violence that is not threatening to life and health in relation to one of them," the report said.
Shpakov is 39 years old, he is a resident of Lyubertsy near Moscow. He worked as a joiner. In the "Case of March 26", in addition to Shpakov, they are accused under the same article 318 of the Criminal Code Stanislav Zimovets, Yuri Kuli and Andrey Kosykh. All of them, on the advice of the appointed lawyers, pleaded guilty. Kulia's case has already come to court. However, the meeting did not take place on Friday. The judge considered that Kuly "was not properly notified" about the process. The case in a special order will be considered on May 18.
