
The general director of the CSKA football, Roman Babaev said that the club refused to extend the contract with the midfielder Roman Eremenko, which was disqualified for two years for the use of cocaine.
“The contract expires, and the prerequisites that it will be extended, unfortunately, is not. The reason is clear - the disqualification continues to act,” Babaev TASS said, emphasizing that the parties managed to compromise on the amount of salary after the disqualification.
“But I would not want to comment on it, because this is confidential information. The novel has no complaints about this issue, we found a way out of the situation,” the club general director concluded.
In March, UEFA abandoned the two -year disqualification of the midfielder. He was removed from football for violating anti -doping rules until October 5, 2018. In his doping industry, which was taken after the Champions League match against the German Bayer (2: 2) on September 14, cocaine was discovered.
Eremenko moved to CSKA in August 2014, having concluded a four -year contract.
