In Prague on May 15, a five -day summit starts, organized by the Stratcom expert organization, accredited by NATO, but not part of the alliance. Within the framework of the forum, the main topic of multilateral negotiations will be the Kremlin’s tactics on the destabilization of elections in the West. Security experts from 27 countries, including Great Britain and the USA, will try to develop a unified opposition to Moscow, writes The Guardian .

As the journalist of the British publication Robert Tate notes, as part of the Summit, the NATO leadership will try to convince individual states and the EU as a whole to protect the electoral processes amid growing fears that the government of the Russian President Vladimir Putin may go to intervention in the internal processes of other countries.

"The time of elections is nearing several European countries, including Britain next month, in Germany in September and the Czech Republic, which will have parliamentary elections in October and presidential - a few months later," the material quoted by Inopressa .

“Now Western countries began to relate to this more seriously, since they see that it affects themselves, and not just Ukraine and the Baltic countries. From the mainly issue of foreign policy, this has become a problem of internal security,” said Yakub Yanda, representative of the Prague Research Center, Yakub Yanda.

As it became known to journalists, a report will be presented at the summit in which it is recommended to make fictitious email addresses to protect themselves from computer hacks in elections in the West. It also calls for any legislative loopholes that can make foreign financing of candidates through local intermediaries.

The Czech Republic itself notes that the summit will take place against the backdrop of the power struggle in the country between the pro-Western prime minister of the country, the Social Democrat Boguslav Sobotka and President Milos Zeman, according to many close ally of the Kremlin. Czech observers predict that Moscow will support the campaign for re -election of Zeman in the presidential election appointed in January 2018.

"This conference is the personification of our active participation in the development of the European Union. On the eve of May 14, the head of the US State Department Rex Tillerson said that Russia's interference in the presidential election in the fall of 2016 is confirmed by documents. According to him, it is impossible to build a new relationship with Russia, not given this fact. Tillerson also indicated a wide list of issues that need to be solved in the context of bilateral relations, and interference in the election is one of them.

The Russian authorities have previously denied interference with the US presidential election. The other day, US President Donald Trump fired the head of the FBI James Komi , whose department, in particular, investigated the intervention of the Russian Federation in the elections.
