The Supreme Court of Udmurtia and the Samara Regional Court declared illegal the refusals to approve anti-corruption rallies on March 26 in Votkinsk and Samara, respectively. The decision of the court in Udmurtia was reported to OVD-Info by Ildar Zakirov, a representative of the Legal Support for Citizens Foundation.
According to the portal "Zasekin", the Samara Regional Court also canceled two decisions of the Leninsky District Court, which fined the protesters Alexander Savinykh and David Akopdzhanyan 10 thousand rubles each.
“In fact, it was forbidden to hold a public event, which is inconsistent with the provisions of Articles 18, 31 and 55 of the Constitution of the Russian Federation, as well as the Federal Law “On meetings, rallies, demonstrations, marches and pickets”, which provides for a notification procedure for organizing and holding public events”, - says the decision of the Samara Regional Court.
