
President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko signed a decree on sanctions against Russian individuals and legal entities, which, in particular, involves restricting access on the territory of Ukraine to social networks VKontakte and Odnoklassniki, as well as to Yandex and Mail.ru services.
Economic sanctions (blocking of assets, a ban on transactions and broadcasting) apply to Russian television companies, such as REN TV, NTV Plus, RBC, TNT and Zvezda, Interfax reports.
In total, in the sanctions list of 1228 individuals and 468 legal entities.
By his decree, Poroshenko introduced the decision of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) “On the application of personal special economic and other restrictive measures (sanctions)”.
Earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved and submitted to the National Security and Defense Council a proposal to extend the deadline for the use of personal special economic and other restrictive measures (sanctions) “In connection with the ongoing armed aggression of Russia against Ukraine”, real and potential threats of national interests, national security and sovereignty of Ukraine.
