Merkel and Macron are ready to reform the European Union

The leaders of Germany and France met in Berlin. This was the first foreign visit of Macron as the president. After the meeting, Angel Merkel said that Europe needed “strong France”. Both leaders said that they were ready to amend the European Union agreements if future reforms require this.
