"Rain": Navalny’s rally on June 12 can be combined with another march against renovation

The new anti -corruption protest of the opposition, Alexei Navalny, scheduled for June 12, can be combined with a march against the renovation program organized by the Parnas party. One of the organizers of the march, former State Duma deputy Gennady Gudkov, intends to make such a proposal, the Rain TV channel reports.

According to the politician, it is impossible to organize mass protests outside politics today. Commenting on the last rally against renovation on May 14, he noted that the “wonderful” action had no public figures. “Scattered efforts allow the authorities to maneuver, play on contradictions, share and rule,” the politician added.

Currently, Parnassus has applied for a march on May 28. Meanwhile, Gudkov did not rule out that the event could be transferred. Discuss exactly when it is worth holding a combined action - May 28 or June 12, it is necessary with an organizing committee, Gudkov said. In addition to him, the organizing committee includes Sergey Davidis from the party on December 5, the municipal deputy Sergei Sokolov, Sergey Mitrokhin from Yabloko and others.

Gudkov said that he intends to offer the organizers to join forces and hold a general action with Navalny. “If now it is economically united by housing problems with political requirements, it can turn out very cool,” he said.

Gudkov has not yet commented on the Navalny idea.

About 20 thousand people came to a rally against renovation on the Avenue of Sakharov on May 14, according to the White Meter. The Ministry of Internal Affairs estimated the number of participants in the rally of five thousand.

The rally was attended by the son of Gennady Gudkov - former State Duma deputy Dmitry Gudkov - and Alexei Navalny with his family. Dmitry Gudkov reported that initially the organizers of the rally invited him to speak at the event, but then changed his mind. “They decided to hold a rally without politicians,” he wrote on Facebook .

Navalny said that he was taken out of the rally due to the complaint of one of the organizers - Ekaterina Vinokurova. “She simply fulfilled the wishes of the Moscow City Hall, and that's all. An obvious situation,” he noted on Twitter .

Recall that on May 9, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree introducing restrictions on mass events for the duration of the World Cup and the Confederations Cup in Russia. Nevertheless, Navalny expressed confidence that this document would not interfere with the shares on June 12.
