A billionaire Alisher Usmanov, one of the defendants in the investigation of the Corruption Fund "He is not Dimon for you", made a video message to the founder of the Fund Alexei Navalny. A 12-minute entry, dedicated to the preliminary hearings of Usmanov to Navalny on Thursday, appeared on the eve of the billionaire YouTube channel, and on Thursday in the morning was published on his VK page. Both resources have just been created.
Usmanov addresses Navalny on you. At the beginning of the video, he responds to the accusation of the opposition, who called the billionaire a criminal. Usmanov confirms that he really was serving a deadline in Soviet times, but states that the case was fabricated. In addition, the billionaire emphasizes, his criminal record, unlike the criminal record of Navalny, is repaid. “Of us two, a criminal is you,” says Usmanov.
Further, the billionaire calls Navalny “ignorance”, “Luzer” and “failed businessman”, and also questiones the qualifications of the founder of the FBC as a lawyer and accuses him of lies. In particular, Usmanov says, accusations that he reached wealth in a doubtful way and does not pay taxes in Russia are groundless. Only last year, according to the billionaire, he paid 2.7 billion rubles. In addition, Usmanov denies that he ever gave bribes.
“In general, you would have investigated somehow deeper,” the billionaire says. He recommends that they apologize to Navalny and "live calmly."
“Never in life is it as you can prove that I am a criminal, that I am a thief,” says Usmanov. “Unlike you, I paid for everything with my labor, my abilities, honesty, by the way. And you can never slander me in life. You still have to answer before me, Lesha.”
"Ugh for you, Alexey Navalny!" - So the appeal ends.
As established in the investigation "He is not Dimon for you", several funds associated with persons from the encirclement of Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev received money and suburban estates from Usmanov. In particular, the Sotsgosproekt Foundation, whose supervisory board is headed by the classmate of Prime Minister Ilya Eliseev, the company Usmanov USM Holdings transferred a plot in the Odintsovo district of the Moscow Region with an area of more than 4 hectares.
The billionaire himself insists that the transfer of this site to the “social project” was part of the real estate exchange transaction. According to Usmanov, for this land he received from the fund a plot of 12 hectares in the village of Uspenskoye in Rublevka. Navalny, however, insists that the billionaire is lying. The land in Uspensky, explains the founder of the FBK, Usmanov bought from two commercial firms and there is no connection between the acquisition of one and the transfer of the other site.
On April 13, Usmanov filed a lawsuit in the Lublin District Court of Moscow to Navalny and the FBK about the protection of honor and dignity. According to RIA Novosti, at Thursday preliminary hearings, judge Marina Vasina rejected the petition of the FBK to terminate the case. Hearing on the merits is scheduled for May 30.
