According to the results of the audit, the Ministry of Education and Science did not find violations of the law in the actions of the leadership of the Vladimir State University (VLSU) during a lecture for students on April 18 this year, when he was shown a film in which oppositionist Alexei Navalny was compared with Adolf Hitler.

"This meeting was not a political event, since the goal of propaganda of any political ideas was not aimed and students were not aged in support of any party," the Ministry of Education and Science said in the response of the journalists of the Provladimir portal.

The department also emphasized that students independently decided to attend a lecture, and information about it was brought to them "in the usual form through directors of the institutes in which they are studying."

"The purpose of this meeting is the legal education of students and the prevention of extremist offenses. The specialists of the legal school who held the event presented their own materials, including videos aimed at legal education," the Ministry of Education and Science noted.

Earlier it was reported that on April 18, students of Vladimir University were shown a film in which Navalny was compared with Adolf Hitler and called the "psychopath". In addition, after demonstrating the film, the head of the regional legal school for the prevention of extremism among the youth Alla, the NAI hinted that the participants in the protest actions could wait for unpleasant consequences.

The video was shown as part of a meeting on the topic "Youth ... Who is truly interested in the future? .." At the same time, the next day, the leadership of the VLGA refuted the comparison of Navalny with Hitler in the film shown to students.

Shortly before the incident, the Rain television channel said that the Kremlin decided to launch a campaign to discredit Navalny and created a special department for this, shooting clips, films and video games. As one of the sources explained to the television channel, they are fighting Navalny as with Hitler.

Alexey Navalny became the first presidential candidate to actively begin the election campaign. In March, he initiated the protest actions "He is not Dimon for us", which took place in 80 cities of Russia, and in Moscow, which turned into detentions unprecedented in scale. Currently, the campaigns are concentrated at the opening of the campaign headquarters in the regions.
