The first verdict in the case "March 26"

The Tverskaya District Court of Moscow sentenced to 8 months the colony-settlement of actor Yuri Kulia for the use of violence to a police officer during the anti-corruption action on March 26. The prosecution asked for 2 years in prison. Earlier, Yuri Kuli declared his innocence, but decided to admit guilt and agreed to consider the case in a special order, hoping for a conditional term. He reported to his lawyer Alexei Lipzer that at the rally on March 26 he tried to separate the elderly man and employee of riot police.
