33-year-old Deputy Minister of Justice Galperin became the new representative of Russia in the ECHR

President Vladimir Putin has appointed a new representative of Russia at the European Court of Human Rights, the decree is posted on the portal for the publication of legal acts.

33-year-old Mikhail Galperin, Deputy Minister of Justice, a graduate of St. Petersburg State University and the University of London, was appointed to the position; he spoke about his biography on the Ucheba.ru website.

His studies at a British university are not mentioned on the Ministry of Justice website , but it is said that at various times he worked in structures for monitoring the execution of judicial acts, international cooperation and economic legislation.

The previous representative of Russia to the ECHR, Georgy Matyushkin, was removed from his post by President Putin in March; Matyushkin served in this post for nine years.
