Collector Stanislav Kotelnikov, who blocked the phones of a children's clinical hospital in Stavropol for a day, was fined 40 thousand rubles, the regional prosecutor's office said in a statement .
The Leninsky District Court of Stavropol found Kotelnikov guilty under Part 1 of Article 330 of the Criminal Code (arbitrariness).
In March of this year, Kotelnikov, who worked as the head of the regional debt collection department of the Sentinel Credit Management company, called a children's clinical hospital and demanded that one of the employees repay a loan debt amounting to over 50 thousand rubles. The head nurse suggested that he contact the debtor herself, but Kotelnikov replied that from that moment the hospital phones would be blocked.
After hanging up, the collector set the hospital telephones to auto-dial, which is why there was no communication in the institution for more than a day, and patients could not reach doctors.
