
Former President of Mast Bank Yuri Pirogov was sent to a pre-trial detention center for two months as part of a waste of 6 billion rubles, Kommersant writes . It is reported that he was arrested under Part 4 of Article 160 of the Criminal Code (assignment or embezzlement).
Together with Pirogov, according to the newspaper, the former vice president of the bank Elena Zhuravleva was arrested for two months. Pirogov is accused of organizing embezzlement, and Zhuravlev is in complicity.
On December 6, Pirogov was sent under house arrest as part of an investigation of the case of illegal cashure of about 9 billion rubles. Previously, Pirogov took place under Articles 159 and 172 of the Criminal Code.
According to investigators, about 6 billion rubles were withdrawn through Mast-Bank before his license was withdrawn in 2015. Money was withdrawn using loans issued by one-day companies.
