Truck drivers protesting against the Platon system were detained in Khimki

In Khimki, truck drivers protesting against the Platon system were detained in the parking lot near the Leroy Merlin store. Eyewitnesses and the detainees themselves reported this to the hotline.

OVD-InfoAccording to various sources, from six to ten people were detained. Among those detained are the leader of the Association of Russian Carriers, Andrei Bazhutin, as well as Sergei Vladimirov, Sergei Rudametkin, Igor Sharapov and Nikolai Manko. According to the callers, journalists were among those detained.

The police did not introduce themselves or explain the reason for the arrest, and then took the activists away in an unknown direction. Callers also reported that police were planning to remove trucks and cars from the parking lot.

Twelve people were detained and taken to police station No. 1 in the city of Khimki. Among those detained are also documentarian Igor Finkovsky, Daim Imerkhanov, Yuri Bukanov, Valery Saprykin, Maxim Arzhanykh, Alexey Borisov and Sergei Ponezha. Protocols are drawn up against activists under Art. 19.3 (disobedience to a lawful order of a police officer).

UPD: cars are being taken away from the parking lot where the protest took place and trucks are about to be evacuated.
