In the suburbs, the truckers protesters were detained against the "Plato"

In Khimki on the afternoon of May 21, drivers of trucks protesting against the Plato system were detained. It is reported by the OVD-Info with reference to eyewitnesses.

In total, 12 people were detained, who were brought to the Khimkinsky police department No. 1. Among the detainees: the leader of the association of carriers of Russia (it coordinates the strike of truckers) Andrei Bazhutin and documentary Igor Finkovsky.

OVD-Info called the names of other detainees: Sergey Vladimirov, Sergey Rudometkin, Igor Sharapov, Nikolai Manko, Daim Imerkhanov, Yuri Bukanov, Valery Saprykin, Maxim Arzhany, Alexey Borisov and Sergey Ponezh. According to the resource, from the parking lot near the Leroy Merlen store, where the action took place, the police took cars and is going to evacuate the trucks.

The Rain correspondent reported that the detainees are charged with disobedience to the legal requirement of police officers (Article 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses) and the organization of the inconsistent rally (Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). Among the detainees, the television channel also called Igor Finn and Evgeny Greg.

Drivers from Ryazan, Saratov, Orenburg, St. Petersburg, Moscow and Dagestan participated in the action. Before the detention, OMON employees watched the action for about an hour.

On March 27, Russian truckers announced the beginning of an unlimited strike against Plato. Protesting drivers in Dagestan blocked OMON and the National Guard, breaking four trucks. In Yekaterinburg, the parking lots were touched by the moat, as a result of which 11 trucks were blocked.

The Plato system, through which a fee for travel along Russian routes is charged from trucks weighing more than 12 tons, was launched in November 2015. She caused massive protests by truckers.
