If you believe the March survey, which the American research center Pew Research conducted among 585 political scientists in Europe and America, Trump's presidency almost none of them inspires optimism. Only 3% of respondents believe that in the coming year, political interaction between the USA and Europe will improve. Only 6% expect the same in the economy and 9% in the field of security. According to the degree of personal unpopularity among Western political scientists, Donald Trump surpassed even Vladimir Putin: if the President of Russia does not trust 61% of respondents, then the US head - 87%. The most significant drawbacks of Trump were called arrogance and intolerance.

The main question that worries America: did Trump coordinate his actions during the election race with Moscow? After all, it is one thing when a foreign state interferes in the election process, and quite another if there was a conspiracy of one of the candidates with this state

A breakthrough in solving acute international problems Donald Trump would now be very useful: in the history of the United States it happened more than once when the failures of domestic policy were compensated by successes in the world arena.

Depicting the victim

The US President’s trip program is compiled sensible. In a word, a trip to Europe and the Middle East could bring considerable benefit to President, if not for two circumstances. Firstly, he loves external effects very much and perceives any meeting at the highest level as a PR action. In negotiations - relies on inspiration and his own charisma, which he considers irresistible. Trump is convinced that he will be able to get along with any interlocutor, conquering him by the power of his charm, and often takes on the success of the manifestation of retaliatory politeness.

Secondly, and this is the main thing, the Americans today care about completely different events, and it will not be possible to switch their attention to international affairs: the domestic political crisis will catch up with Trump wherever there are journalists. The president snaps up violently in response to questions annoying him, but lifts deeper. He feels a victim, complaining that before "they did not treat any worse and more unfair to any politician and that he became the target" the greatest in the American history of witch hunt. " With his hypertrophied self -conceit, Trump is inclined to consider “the greatest”, but the story from which he is feverishly trying to get out, and is not small.

During the presidential campaign, the candidate of Republicans with such excitement and relish quoted supporters of leakage from the mail servers of the Democrats at rallies, which is now simply ridiculous to say that “Russian hackers” did not help him win the elections. There is no doubt in the fact that people from Trump's entourage maintained regular contacts with representatives of Russia. Now his associates pretend that they do not see anything reprehensible in these contacts. The same thing is repeating Moscow. But why was it possible to hide these contacts, and when it became impossible to deny the facts, why was it to lie about the content of these conversations? It was on this that the retired General Flynn came across.

Doubtful characters

On December 29, 2016, Michael Flynn, who had not yet held any state posts, spoke several times on the phone with the Russian Ambassador to the United States Sergey Kislyak. Just on this day, President Barack Obama tightened sanctions against Russia and ordered to expel 35 Russian diplomats from the states.

When the fact of the conversation Flynn and Kislyak got into the press, the ex-gene was already appointed adviser to the new president in national security. At first, he pretended that he simply forgot the fact of a conversation with the Russian ambassador, then said that he congratulated Kislyak with Merry Christmas and expressed condolences in connection with the catastrophe of the Russian aircraft, which broke up from Sochi to Syria. There was no talk of neither the sanctions nor about the expulsion of diplomats. The national security adviser did not take into account that the ambasses of the ambassador are listening to the FBI. The decryption of the conversation, where Flynn speaks of both sanctions and the reaction of Moscow to the expulsion of the Dipplethe employees, fell on the table of the director of the FBI and several more senior security officials. The fact that Flynn is lying, Trump was reported on the fifth day after his inauguration, but the White House for a long time tried to deny this fact or diminish its significance.

About other contacts of the members of the Trump team with representatives of Russia, only that they were. It is also known that the surroundings of the 45th President were entered figures with a muddy reputation and long-standing ties with the Russian Federation-such as, for example, Carter Page, whom Candidate Trump called his three foreign policy advisers. At the height of the election campaign, Page traveled to Moscow, last July 7 of last year he spoke at the Russian Economic School (RASH) with criticism of the “hypocritical” policy of President Obama and as if he had contacted the head of Rosneft Igor Sechin and other influential Russian politicians. On July 18, on the sidelines of the National Congress of the Republican Party of the United States in Cleveland, he met with Sergey Kislyak. And on July 22, the WikiLeaks website produced the first massive drain of documents stolen by hackers from the server of the National Committee of the Democratic Party.

Another dubious character, who was working at Trump's headquarters, is Roger Stone. In early March 2016, he met with people hiding behind the nickname Guccifer 2.0 (this blog, along with WikiLeaks, was used to publish leaks). On October 2, a record appeared on Twitter Stone: "Hillary Clinton is over." On October 7, WikiLeaks began to upload the hacked correspondence of John Podesta, the head of the Clinton election headquarters.

There are too many such coincidences to consider them an accident.

The law is higher than the president

Trump and his comrades -in -arms hoped that after the elections the “Russian question” would resolve, because the winners were not judged, but the American press had too many informants, and not only in the special services, but also in the White House apparatus. Drenches poured like from a sieve. This is really something unprecedented. If the investigators of Watergate Bob Woodword and Karl Bernstin had one deep throat ** - the deputy director of the FBI Mark Felt, today such informants are probably no less than a dozen.

Trump was angry, threatened the informants with a prison, declared fakes all messages on the topic of his teams with Russia, and the newspapers and television companies published them “enemies of the American people”. Meanwhile, the president, who cannot realize the fact that the US law enforcement system is not the president, but the law, the trouble was worse: the FBI has significantly advanced in the investigation of the Russian case. It was not possible to slow down the director of the Bureau of James Komi. Donald Trump appointed General Prosecutor of his ally Jeff Sehns, but it turned out that he also met with a sour and also hid this fact from the Senate when approving to the post of head of the Ministry of Justice. Seoshns had to take self -expression from participating in the investigation, and he could no longer order anything to his subordinate Komi. The president remained to dismiss Komi. But this only complicated the situation.

What next? The former director of the FBI is about to testify to the committees of both chambers of the Congress. On the eve of these hearings, information leaked to the press that Komi, after each meeting with Trump, recorded the content of their conversations, including the one during which the president asked the head of the FBI to close the case against Michael Flynn: “He is a good guy. I hope you will find a way to leave him alone. ” The White House categorically denies the fact of such a conversation. Now, if Komi confirms under the oath that he still took place, the testimony will have to be given to Trump - also under the oath. And the lie in this case, as the example of Bill Clinton showed, is a direct road to impeachment.

It is also important that the case in the congress will not be limited to the matter. On May 18, the First Deputy Minister of Justice of the United States, Rod Rosenstein, after long hesitation, decided to entrust the investigation of the case of the role of Moscow in the American elections to a special prosecutor. This is a heavy blow to Trump. The special prosecutor is a legally independent person with his budget, his staff of investigators and the widest powers. Robert Müller, director of the FBI at Bush Jr. and Obama, who earned high authority was appointed to this post precisely due to his independence.

Johnson and Clinton were presented to the impeachment of the House of Representatives, but then justified by the Senate, where the accusation did not gain the necessary 2/3 votes. Nixon, presented to the impeachment of the House of Representatives, resigned before the question was considered by the Senate (most likely, the verdict would be accusations ***).
