As the CEO of the festival Valery Shadrin said at a press conference in Moscow, 22 performances of different genres from Argentina, Brazil, Great Britain, Germany, Canada, Cuba, Kyrgyzstan, the Netherlands, Russia, the USA, Taiwan, France, South Korea and Estonia will show at the festival .
The Chekhovsky festival will open on May 24 on the new scene of the Bolshoi Theater of the Mozart Opera “Magic Flute” of the Berlin Comer-Opera. The authors of the idea and directors of the performance are the artistic director of the commander-Oper Barry Koski, director Susan Andreid and artist Paul Barrit.

Among the participants of the festival, Shadrin also called the British director of Declan Donnellan - Shakespeare’s play “Winter Tale” in his production, and the Canadian director Robert Lepazh, who will play the 887, will be shown in Moscow. In addition, the performance of the Cuban troupe is first included in the program of the Chekhov festival.
At the closure of the festival on July 19 and 20, the world premiere of the performance on Hemingway "Old Man and the Sea" in the production of Anatoly Vasiliev will be held. The performance is dedicated to the centenary of the birth of Yuri Lyubimov (1917–2014).
