In Khimki near Moscow, the court fined four more truckers, detained on May 21 for protest against the Plato system. Sergei Ponezh, Igor Finkovsky, Alexei Borisov and Igor Sharapov, found guilty of disobedience to the policeman and violation of the rules of the rally. Activists were obliged to pay 10 and a half thousand rubles each. On the eve of similar charges for the same amounts, Nikolai Manko, Maxim Arzhany and Yuri Bukanov were fined . Another four truckers who were detained on Sunday remain in the police.
Since April 15 of this year, an additional increase in the factor in the Plato system has been introduced in Russia: drivers will have to pay extra for every kilometer of transportation. Truckers require the abolition of these tariffs, since they already pay excise tax on fuel, transport tax and entrepreneurial tax.
