Graduates of the School Rodchenko will present a diploma exhibition at Vincuration

On June 2, a diploma exhibition of graduates of the School of Photography and Multimedia named after A. Rodchenko - “Eighth Level” will open in Moscow in Moscow in Moscow in Moscow.

The curator of the exhibition is an artist, teacher and head of the video art workshop Kirill Preobrazhensky.

This year, the diploma exhibition of graduates of the School Rodchenko is held for the eighth time, but for the first time its exposition was built on the principle of immersive installation.

“The“ eighth level ”, which collects the work of thirty school diplomans, is not united by either a linear narrative or a single topic: each viewer is given the opportunity to make a route of the exhibition himself. - the organizers report. -A similar gaming element is characteristic here not only for the opposition work/viewer, but also in the relationship between artists themselves and their works: the “eighth level” is composed of different layers of reality-this is the game-renewal between former classmates, and the compilation of alternative to each other and practices: someone directly works with modernity, someone is accustomed to virtual reality, part of the works is based on work with memory, based archives and documents. Both spectators and artists themselves can pass this level, as in a video game, an unlimited number of times-and in each individual case to make a new exhibition and look at the actual landscape of young Russian contemporary art in a new way. ”
