Daniil Trifonov will first perform his piano concert in St. Petersburg

On May 26, in Mariinsky-2, at the opening of the XXV Musical Festival "Stars of the White Nights", the Russian premiere of the concert for the piano with the orchestra Minor Daniil Trifonov in the copyright will be held.

According to the press service of the Mariinsky Theater, the winner of the XIV International Competition named after P.I. Tchaikovsky will be accompanied by a symphony orchestra of the Mariinsky Theater under the direction of Valery Gergiev.

On the opening day of the festival in the concert hall of the Mariinsky Theater, a concert performance of the Russian choir opera "Boyar Morozov" Rodion Shchedrin will be held. In the main parties: Ekaterina Sergeeva (Boyarynya Morozova), Violetta Lukyanenko (Princess Urusova), Stanislav Leontyev (Protopop Avvakum), Yuri Vlasov (Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich). On the stage of the Mariinsky Theater, Boris Asafiev’s ballet will be presented in the production of Rostislav Zakharov “Bakhchisarai Fountain” with the participation of Anastasia Korgova (Maria), Alexander Sergeyeva (Vaclav), Danila Korsuntseva (Girey), Daria Pavlenko (Zarema). The shows of this ballet will also take place on May 27 and 28.

Daniil Trifonov will perform at the festival and with a solo program: on May 27, the works of Shostakovich, Stravinsky and Schuman will be heard in the concert hall of the Mariinsky Theater.

On June 3, the concert of the mentor Daniil Trifonov Sergey Babayan will be held, on which he will perform the works of Mozart. The concert will be attended by the symphony orchestra of the Mariinsky Theater under the direction of Christian Knapp.
