The Ministry of Internal Affairs found no violations when checking information from the FBK investigation about Medvedev

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation did not find violations of the law in the transfer of property to the Sotsgosproekt fund, which the Anti-Corruption Foundation (FBK) of Alexei Navalny called associated with Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev. This is stated in the response of the department to the request of the deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Valery Rashkin.

Rashkin sent requests to the heads of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Investigative Committee, the FSB and the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation in March 2017, shortly after the publication of the FBK investigation about Medvedev's "secret empire". He asked to verify the information about the "possible corrupt activities" of the Prime Minister, which "more than 9-10 percent of Russian citizens have become familiar with."

The Investigative Committee redirected the request to the Prosecutor General's Office, but the supervisory agency returned it as "erroneously sent." The FSB classified its response to Rashkin, sending it marked "for official use"; according to the deputy, "there is a little less than zero information on the issue."

• In early March 2017, FBK published an investigation into Dmitry Medvedev's "secret empire". In the film, it was said that the Prime Minister uses expensive real estate and yachts, which are owned by non-profit organizations controlled by his acquaintances.
• The publication became the pretext for anti-corruption actions that took place on March 26 in dozens of Russian cities. Medvedev himself declared the investigation "nonsense", and the property documents presented in it - "papers".
• The investigation said, in particular, that billionaire Alisher Usmanov donated real estate on Rublyovka to the Sotsgosproekt fund, which is headed by Medvedev's friend and classmate Ilya Eliseev. The FBK considered this action a bribe to the prime minister. Usmanov filed a lawsuit against Navalny for the protection of honor and dignity.
