Alexander Shpakov, a defendant in the case of using violence against police officers on March 26 in Moscow during an anti-corruption rally, was given 1.5 years of imprisonment in a general regime colony. This was reported by legal assistance coordinator Alla Frolova.
OVD-InfoMother Shpakova, who was present at the meeting, reported that earlier the appointed lawyer extorted money from the family, offering to “settle the situation.”
Shpakov was accused of allegedly punching the battalion commander of the operational regiment, Valery Gonikov, twice during his arrest at an uncoordinated protest against corruption in the center of Moscow on March 26. Gonikov was also a victim in the Bolotnaya case.
