The court arrested the ex-governor of the Chelyabinsk region Yurevich in absentia

The Sverdlovsk Regional Court arrested the former governor of the Chelyabinsk region Mikhail Yurevich. It is reported by Interfax .

The ex-governor was appointed two months from the moment the border or extradition crosses. As noted, the court granted the UK appeal to the decision of the Leninsky District Court of Yekaterinburg, who refused to arrest Yurevich in absentia in absentia.

The former official is accused of receiving bribes from the regional Minister of Health Vitaly Teslenko totaling 26 million rubles, as well as in the incitement of his first deputy Oleg Grachev to slander the chairman of the Chelyabinsk Regional Court. Yurevich denies his guilt.

In early May, the UK reported that the former official was put on the international wanted list. As the investigators explained, he "has not been to the investigating authorities on the agenda about the call for interrogation."

Yurevich’s defense claimed that he could not fly for interrogation, as treatment undergoes abroad. Treatment in one of the clinics of London should last until June 6, explained the assistant to the ex-governor.

Yurevich served as the governor of the Chelyabinsk region from 2010 to 2014.
