According to the publication, Tamtam was developed in 4 months on the basis of the OK messenger of the Octo Network “Odnoklassniki” launched in July 2016. It is clarified that Mail.ru will release a mobile update of “OK Messages”, which will replace the application with TAMTAM.

The company said that Tamtam "integrated a base of 290 million registered in users."

“Tamtam is already launched with a starting audience, users have the opportunity to find acquaintances among millions of users, and this is its main plus,” said Vladimir Kochetkov, head of the TAMTAM project.

The company noted that the messenger will be free, it will not have advertising, Tamtam will also receive integration with the holding projects.
