Rosselkhoznadzor found an antibiotic in the Kurgill Kuri Nuggets, a supplier of McDonald's. This is stated in the message on the website of the department, RBC paid attention to the publication.

According to the results of the audit regarding Kargill, the department found out that in the chicken cutlets “Maknaggets” there is a Furazolidon drug. The antibiotic was also found in six tons of frozen chicken fillet. In addition, pathogenic microorganisms, including salmonella, were revealed in one ton of fillet. The manufacturers of the products are Kargilla suppliers, Belgorod granular feeds (Belgrandorsm) and Yaroslavl Broiler.

As a result, Kargill was fined 300 thousand rubles. In relation to the company, they introduced an enhanced laboratory control regime, and the validity of the declaration of conformity on its products was suspended. The total weight of the products inappropriate to the requirements of the Rosselkhoznadzor was 18 tons.

The company itself emphasized that Belgrand Koram “did not declare the use of antibiotics in its production,” so Kargille did not check each batch of raw materials for Furazolidon. In a letter addressed to the head of the Rosselkhoznadzor Sergey Dankvert, the management of the supplier McDonald's claimed that dangerous products were blocked, and future supplies of raw materials were suspended.

As the head of the Kargill representative office in Russia, Elena Zosimova, noted, the measures taken by Rosselkhoznadzor will lead to "stopping the enterprise for an indefinite period" and will cause a "significant loss for the company."

The press service of McDonald's reported to RBC that he was "in the know of this issue." The company noted that dangerous products did not get to McDonald's, and added that they would continue cooperation with Kargill.
