In Orel, searches were carried out at the premises of Jehovah's Witnesses, believers were detained

In Orel, on May 25, a search was carried out in the house where local Jehovah's Witnesses gather. At least fifteen armed men, including FSB officers, entered the premises. Law enforcers reported that a criminal case had been initiated under article 282.2 of the Criminal Code (continuation of the activities of an organization that was banned for extremism). Passport data were copied from those present, explanatory notes were taken, tablets were confiscated. Several believers were taken to the FSB building, where some of them were kept until the morning of the next day.

A criminal case has been initiated against at least one of the believers, Dennis Christensen, a citizen of the Kingdom of Denmark. He was arrested and held without food in the FSB building. The issue of choosing a preventive measure was decided today in the Sovetsky District Court, but the results are not yet known.
